The Wine Series began as a heartfelt birthday gift for one of the artist’s loved ones, who happens to be an avid red-wine enthusiast. Wanting the gift to feel truly personal, the artist experimented with creating a portrait using only red wine. The result sparked the beginning of this unique series.

 

Today, the series has grown into a collection of bespoke, client-specific portraits crafted entirely from pure red wine. Through hours of meticulous workmanship, the artist reduces the wine by sun-drying or boiling to achieve multiple tones, resulting in a rich monochromatic, vintage aesthetic.
